Additional Information

The way our Single Sign On currently works for the mobile app is by having learners login to Litmos through your SSO provider in the mobile browser.
 

Steps

 

1. A Litmos Account Owner user will enable ''Force launching of Litmos mobile app on login'' at Account settings,>Profile

2. Learners will login into the customer's SSO IDP portal via a browser (not via SSO IDP App) and then will launch Litmos from within the SSO IDP

3. After SSO authentication is done, the Litmos app will automatically open if the Force Launch of Litmos Mobile App setting is enabled

4. Users redirected to the Litmos app are automatically signed into Litmos

Note:

• In the event of a Litmos Session Timeout, user will be logged out of Litmos and would need to launch Litmos again from within SSO IDP. The default session sign out time is 2 hours, this can be extended by going to Account settings > Profile > Login > Session Sign Out
• Likewise, if a user clicks the ''Sign Out'' button in the mobile app, they will have to re-authenticate through the SSO via the browser
• If accessing the Litmos mobile app before authenticating in the browser, it's expected that the users will see the default mobile login page where Litmos username and Litmos password would be required for login. Entering the wrong credentials will result in error message of "Invalid login credentials". Advice is to login via SSO via a browser, and then launch Litmos
