Send an Automatic or Manual Course Invitation Email 

This email can be triggered during assignment of a Course or can be sent manually.  

 Send a notification during the assignment of a Course via Admin View > View All Content >  > Select a specific Course > Select the ‘People’ tab > Select User(s) > Select ‘Send course invitation email’ from the dropdown under ‘Perform a bulk action on selected people.’ 

Manually Send a Due Date, Compliance Date, or Course Access Expiration Date Reminder 

 With the settings below, we can remind one or multiple users of an upcoming Due Date, Compliance Date, or Course Access Expiration Date.  

 Due Date: 

• Access this setting via Admin View > View All Content >  Select a specific Course > Settings 

• Select ‘Due Date’ from the first dropdown menu

• Select either ‘A Time Span’ or ‘A Specific Date’ Learner must complete within: 

• • A time span allows the user to set the number of weeks from the date assigned 

• • A specific date allows the user to select a date on the calendar 

 

• Set the Automatic email reminder to start 1, 2, 3, 7, 14, 30, Other Day(s) before the due date.

  

 Compliance Date: 

• Access this setting via Admin View > View All Content >  Select a specific Course > Settings 

• Select ‘Compliance’ from the first dropdown menu 

• Select either ‘A Time Span’ or  ‘A Specific Date’ Learner must complete within: 

• • A time span allows the user to set the number of weeks from the date assigned 

• • A specific date allows the user to select a date on the calendar 

• Set the Automatic email reminder to start 1, 2, 3, 7, 14, 30, Other Day(s) before the due date.  

• Select ‘Completion Date’ or ‘Assigned Date’ in the Compliance date based on field  

• Select Forever, 7, 14, 30, 60, 90, 180, or 365 days in the Compliance For field  

• Selecting ‘Set End Date’ in the Complaince date based on field, will allow the user to select a month, day and Automatic resit setting of either 1, 7, 14, 21, 30, 60, or 90 day(s) 

Course Access Expiration: 

• Access this setting via Admin View > View All Content >  Select a specific Course > Settings 

• Select ‘A Time Span’ or ‘A Specific Date’ in the Remove Access dropdown field 

• • A time span allows the user to set the number of weeks from the date assigned 

• • A specific date allows the user to select a date on the calendar 

Send an Automatic Module Completed Notification to Learners upon Module Completion 

Use this setting to congratulate Learners for finishing a module or to let them know that an Assessment or ILT session has been marked complete by an Administrator. 

Create this setting via Admin View > Content > Select ‘Modules’ > Select a specific Module (must be Assessment or ILT Session) > Select the ‘Settings’ tab > Select ‘Send an email to the learner once the module is completed’ > Customize the email > Select ‘Save.’ 

Most notification emails can be edited/customized via Admin View > Account > Select ‘Email’ > Select the template you want to customize > Make your edits > Select ‘Save.’  

NOTE: The Reply-to email address should be someone within your organization so that your Learners can get help when they need it. (This email should not go to support@litmos.com.) 

Disable/Enable a User’s Email Notifications  

This setting prevents Users from receiving messages sent from within the 'Messages' tab and prevents Due Date Reminders, Compliance Reminders, and Course Access Expiration Date reminders. Other emails are not controlled by this setting.  Admin View > People > Select a specific User.  

Select View ‘User’ from the Options dropdown, and in the Basic section, use the pencil icon to edit, then select 'Enable (or Disable) email notifications for Messages',>Save 

 

Disable/Enable Email Discussion Forum Notifications for a User 

To disable or enable all Discussion Forum notifications for a user, navigate to the user's edit profile view from the People tab and in the Basic section, use the pencil icon to edit, then select 'Enable notifications for forums'>Save.
