• How do I create a link to the Litmos library that pre-selects specific filters?

• How do I include search terms in a Litmos library URL?

• How do I combine multiple filters like "Favorites" and "Discussion Forums" in one link?

Clients often need to direct learners to specific subsets of content within the Litmos Library without requiring the learner to manually select filters.

To create filtered links, you must append specific parameters to your Litmos library URL.

ContentType Values:

• Course = 2

• Learning Path = 3

• Collection = 4

Formatting Rules:

• Spaces: Replace any space in a filter name with a plus + sign (e.g., Topic=Business+Ethics).

• Multiple Values: Use a comma , to select more than one value in the same category (e.g., Skill=Communication,Budgeting).

• Combining Filters: Use the ampersand & to add different types of filters together (e.g., ContentType=2&favorites=true).

Resolution

1. Identify your base library URL: https://[yourdomain].litmos.com/home/library

2. Append the desired parameters using the following available categories:

   • Search Term: SearchTerm=[Keyword] (e.g., SearchTerm=finance)

   • Favorites: favorites=true or false

   • Topic: Topic=[TopicName]

   • Language: Language=[LanguageName]

   • Skill: Skill=[SkillName]

   • Discussion Forum: DiscussionForum=true or false

3. Example URL: https://[yourdomain].litmos.com/home/library?ContentType=2&Topic=Compliance&Language=English

4. Test the link in a browser to ensure the filters are correctly applied before distributing to learners.
