Content Authoring - Generative AI Overview

The Content Authoring Tool (CAT) has been updated to include Generative AI (GenAI) features. Users are able to generate and edit text to create content for Modules.

CAT AI can access data from 3 sources:

• The LMS Library: Litmos CAT AI accesses assets and Courses in the Library, as well as the additional resources contained within Courses—all learning materials that have been opted into by your organization’s Administrator.

• An uploaded file: When the user uploads a file with their prompt, the CAT AI will default to using the information contained in the file to formulate its response.

• In future releases, the author will have the option to allow the AI to mine the “world knowledge” it was trained on to generate its response.

Default Generative AI consent

Navigate to Account Settings -> Litmos Features and click on the AI Assistant feature tile to go to the AI Assistant management screen. Select "Enable AI Assistant" and you will be presented with settings that allow you to control how the Generative AI accesses your content.

Select 'Allow Generative AI to use all Content' to have Generative AI automatically use all your existing content as well as the content you add to the system over time.

Select 'Allow Generative AI to use only selected Content' to have control item-by-item for the content that Generative AI can use.

Course Generative AI Consent

The account setting can be overridden on each course at the course settings page for that content item.

Litmos created courses will not have this consent setting available by default. Please reach out to your Litmos Customer Success Manager (CSM) or Account Executive to enable the setting.

Asset Generative AI Consent

This setting can be overridden on each asset from the settings page of the asset.

Litmos and partner created assets will not have this consent setting available.
