If a course is part of a subscription or part of a bundle, Litmos Trainings Ops (LTO) now gives the ability to configure the settings to hide a particular course or force a customer to purchase a subscription or a bundle if they are interested in having access to this course. As an attendee, you can see courses in the catalog that are part of the subscription. You can also buy a schedule individually or a course as part of a bundle. Setting your course purchase options In LTO, go to Administration > Attendee > Search Result Settings. There you will find two new configurations: Subscription Course - Catalog Display Bundle Course - Catalog Display By default, the settings are set to ‘Display in the catalog for individual & [subscription/bundle] purchase.’ Individual Display If you select ‘Individual display as read-only,’ the individual courses will appear in the catalog but in a read-only mode. If you want to have access to a particular course, you will need to purchase a subscription. In the catalog, the course will look like this: You will notice a customizable message that this course can be purchased only as part of a subscription. This new subscription label can be found under Site Brands > Labels. The custom label is called cust_Catalogview_partofsubscription_Mesg. If you click ‘More Information about this course’ > ‘Schedule & Pricing,’ you can only purchase the subscription instead of Schedules. Note: The same logic applies to a Bundle. In the catalog, a course that is part of the bundle will display the same customizable message. This new bundle label can be found under site brands > labels. The custom label is called cust_Catalogview_partofbundle_Mesg. The purchase details will also show the course can be purchased as a part of a bundle. A course, in this case, is part of a subscription and a bundle. You can buy the course schedule individually, as part of a bundle, or as part of a subscription. Option You can only purchase the subscription courses as part of a subscription and leave the Bundle as default. The course that is part of a subscription and bundle can now be purchased as part of a subscription or a bundle. Even though this bundle has individual courses you can purchase, if that course is also part of a subscription, you cannot purchase individually but only as part of a subscription or a bundle. This new custom label for this scenario can be found under Site Brands > Labels. The custom label is called cust_Catalogview_partofbundlesubscription_Mesg. Subscription Course - Hidden In some cases, when you prefer a course that is part of a subscription not to appear in the catalog. The only way to find this course is by searching with a keyword. The same option applies to a bundle course. If you want to purchase a course that is part of a bundle, it will not be shown in the catalog, and you can only find it by searching with a keyword. Delivery Method You can now search for Subscriptions and Bundles as delivery methods. Once you click Search, only these delivery options will be displayed in the catalog.
